Heaven Awaits (it must)

I think we fear death, because we fear the unknown. We can’t possibly imagine what comes after death because all we envision is our own inert form once our heart has stopped. We are so attached to our physical bodies, and out of tune with our spiritual selves, that a physical death is most terrifying. Logically–or maybe illogically–we understand the concept that our inner selves, our souls, our spirits will always live on. But to actually apply that concept to our human perspective of death is something else entirely. It seems impossible to not fear death, though we have every reason to believe it is not the end for us. (Religions that revolve around heaven, life eternal, and reincarnation are just a few such reasons that support the theory of life after death.) But we are only little humans who are too scared to leave behind everything we have ever known. We need to get past this way of thinking and stop our fear of death, for it is the only true way to live.
