I’m still experiencing writer’s block–though I am writing a bit more than I had been a few weeks ago–and I needed to put something out in the world. So, I thought I’d make a list of my favorite music. These are songs on which I frequently hyperfixate. I may forget about some for a period of time, but I always go back with a level of obsession.

Sharing music is much like showing someone your bedroom. It allows them a glimpse of your interests and personality that may not come out in normal conversation. It is deeply personal and sometimes frightening. This is me continuing to open myself up.

If nothing else, I’ll be able to look back on this list in 10 years and see how much has changed.
