We’re insane until we’re not

Normalcy is merely created when a majority of people are in agreement. In other words, when enough people think something is right, that thing becomes the socially acceptable version of correctness.

But then, there is also the fact of social conditioning and learned thought. Meaning, the majority think something is right because it is what they have been taught. Their perspective is not their own, but rather the perspective of parents, peers, and culture. Thus, they don’t know how to think differently or for themselves.

So, slowly, ever so slowly, humans only experience reformed thought because a brave few pioneers continue to think and behave differently than the masses. Total reformation takes centuries. Until then, people with different ideas are deemed insane. It doesn’t mean they have mental disturbances or chemical imbalances of the brain. It simply means their ideals do not mesh with those of their neighbors. They are not a product of current universal belief.

So… let’s be insane.
